My Bridal Shower 3/10/18

Hi, my loves!

Wow…just wow! Where to begin!? Sigh.

Since I am still not 100% recovered from the most magical, special day of my life, I hope this post allows you to feel the true happiness in my heart and smiles that radiated through me on this day. First and foremost, let me say that I have never felt so much love or warmth in one room than I did on March 10th. Each person that was a part of this day oozed happiness for Aaron and I and so much love for me that it was just so incredibly special and humbling to feel love at this level. This will be a day that I will never forget for the rest of my life.

I want to break down this article into the details that made it so special and I want to begin with you…

My amazing readers/followers: For months, I was flip flopping about how I was going to share this day with you. Should I show little bits and pieces? Just my outfit? Just decor? The struggle was real. Because I am constantly oversharing on my media channels, I just wanted a way to share the day without touching my phone and while living in the moment.  A HUGE thank you to beautiful Lauren, my assistant, for pulling through with the most epic BTS for you. From me walking into the room, dancing in my dress, showing off the room decor, me crying non-stop, giving my speech, capturing fun moments with friends…every clip was there and I hope you really felt a part of it. My Bridal Shower story will be in my Highlights on instagram until the wedding so please swing by if you haven’t seen it already. The love I felt from you before, during, and after is unsurpassed and something I will never forget. I have the BEST insta-fam, so thank you from the bottom of my heart!

The Dress: Yes, THIS. DRESS. (insert 1 million emojis) Believe it or not, I got a really late start to finding my dress because I thought it would be a breeze. Boy, was I was wrong. Dress after dress, everything looked the same as the last, but I wanted to be different. I wanted to wear something that I couldn’t ever wear unless I was a bride or it was a very special “me” occasion. I have always done better online than in stores because I know my body very well, but morning after morning, I would sit online at Bergdorfs, Farfetch, and Luisa Via Roma and nothing was singing, “So Lindsi” to me. On February 17th, I found her. The most epic Pamella Roland Runway piece I have ever seen. She was sitting on Bergdorfs website and my size was ready to ship. February 23rd I received the dress. When I first put it on, it was much much longer on me and I was hesitant. But my MOH, Jackie told me (along with my other BFF Riki), “you’re f*ckin crazy, you weirdo, this is VOGUE, EPIC, DONE!” (haha), so I decided to shorten it and VOILA! My girls were right. It was the dress of my dreams.

Here is the dress on the Pamella Roland Runway!

The Decor: Thank you to Lawrence Scott Events for creating THE MOST EPIC day and beautifully decorated room I have EVER seen in my life! Larry is also a friend of my family and has been doing my family parties for decades! I highly recommend him for any future events you may be thinking of and please tell him that I sent you! 🙂 My mom along with my BFF’s Jaclyn and Riki, and sister-in-law Whitney all worked SO hard to make this the most special “So Lindsi” day! They knocked it out of the ballpark!

The Photographers: Thank you SO incredibly much to Russell Starr for capturing the ENTIRE day so impeccably and my girl Lisa Richov for arriving early to take photos of me rocking my stunning dress. Love you Lis! A HUGE thank you to Amanda Hart and her boyfriend Jason Banker for showing up with less than 24 hours notice to record an entire day that I will cherish forever. So much love!

Hair & Makeup: You all know how much I love beauty so it took me a while to nail down the perfect look to accompany this stunning dress. Ashlee Glazer was on makeup and she seriously crushed it. I have wanted a champagne pink eye for SO long and after one trail, she nailed it. You’re my girl, Ash! I am going to be posting a blog post soon on all makeup details and what we used to create this beautiful look, so stay tuned. Ashlee is also doing my makeup for my rehearsal dinner. So excited for her to work her magic again. Another magical connection I have made through this process is Mr. Joseph Maine. He is an epic hair magician and my new go-to for EVERYTHING hair. He will be doing my hair for my rehearsal dinner and wedding. I can’t wait for you to see what Ashlee, Joseph, and myself have in store for you! JUST. WAIT. My best friend since childhood, Marni Gabor, will be doing my makeup for the wedding. I can’t wait to share that moment with her.
